A diagnostic is a full electronic scan of your vehicle's onboard computer systems. It reads fault codes, live sensor data and system health — giving you a clear picture of any issues present or developing.
Most diagnostics take between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours depending on the complexity of faults found. We never rush — you get a thorough, explained scan.
We specialise in diagnostics, reporting, and certain coding/programming work. We provide detailed reports with recommended next steps — giving you clear information to take to a garage or take action yourself.
We cover all major makes and models — including European, Japanese, Korean and most American vehicles. Our Autel, Carly and Topdon systems give us broad vehicle coverage.
We're based in SE4 (Brockley) and cover all of SE London and surrounding areas. Zone 1 is within 5 miles at £1.00/mile; Zone 2 is beyond 5 miles at £1.50/mile. Check the Coverage map for your area.
It depends on the light. A red warning light means stop immediately. An amber/orange light means get it checked soon. Don't ignore any warning light — book a diagnostic to understand the issue before it worsens.

Apex Autodata provides mobile vehicle diagnostic services. All services are performed by trained technicians using professional-grade equipment.
2. Booking & Confirmation
Bookings are confirmed by phone, email or WhatsApp. A confirmation message will be sent prior to your appointment.
3. Cancellation Policy
Free cancellation with 2+ hours notice. A cancellation fee applies for cancellations within 2 hours of the scheduled appointment time.
4. Payment
Payment by Cash or Bank Transfer upon completion of service. All prices include VAT where applicable.
5. Diagnostic Limitations
Diagnostics provide information about vehicle fault codes and sensor data. Apex Autodata is not responsible for subsequent repair decisions made by the customer or third-party garages.
6. Access to Vehicle
The customer must ensure the technician has safe, legal access to the vehicle at the agreed location and time.
7. Liability
Apex Autodata's liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not liable for pre-existing vehicle conditions or issues arising from third-party repairs.
8. Data
Vehicle and personal data collected during the diagnostic is held in accordance with our Privacy Policy and used solely for service delivery.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Terms & Conditions
1. Pricing
Diagnostic fee from £50. Call-out fee £25. Travel charged at £1.00/mile within 5 miles of SE4 2HU (Zone 1) and £1.50/mile beyond (Zone 2).
2. Appointment
Please ensure the vehicle is accessible and the battery is adequately charged at the time of the appointment.
3. Fault Codes
Clearing fault codes does not guarantee the underlying fault is repaired. We strongly advise addressing root causes.
4. Key Programming
Key programming services require proof of vehicle ownership. Apex Autodata reserves the right to decline service if ownership cannot be verified.
5. Weather & Access
Services may be rescheduled in extreme weather conditions or where access to the vehicle is unsafe.
6. Refunds
Refunds are not provided once a diagnostic has been completed. Disputes must be raised within 24 hours of service.
7. Age
You must be 18 or over to book our services.
